Maedeh Ramezani, PhD, C.Chem (she/her) is an innovative scientist specializing in chemical process development, scale-up, and advanced materials, with over 10 years of experience spanning synthetic chemistry, polymer science, nanomaterials, and product development. She is currently focused on chemical process development and scale-up at Kingston Process Metallurgy Inc. (KPM), supporting projects across battery materials, valuable metals recycling, and technical evaluation. Maedeh’s expertise includes reaction development, polymerization and post-polymerization techniques, organometallics, and nanomaterial design—applied to real-world challenges such as water purification systems (membranes, filtration, forward osmosis), functional surface coatings (superhydrophobic and protective coatings, waterborne resins, latex particles), and green chemistry initiatives including polymer recycling, biodegradable materials, and biomass-derived value-added products. Across academia and industry collaborations, Maedeh has contributed to 20+ research projects, authored 10+ peer-reviewed publications, and is listed on four patents (US and EU). She has presented at 20+ conferences, served as a peer reviewer for 10+ scientific journals, and participated in international exhibitions showcasing nanotechnology-based products and their industrial applications.
