Lola Oyefeso
Lola Oyefeso is a Master of Science candidate at the University of Toronto and a Research Trainee at the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research, University Health Network. She is a researcher and innovator exploring how digital health and artificial intelligence can advance equity in healthcare. Her academic journey is anchored in examining how technology can either deepen disparities or help repair them. From developing climate-conscious AI in cardiology to mentoring youth entering health careers, Lola’s work centers on expanding access, dignity, and care. As External Partnerships Coordinator for the Canadian Black Scientists Network (CBSN), she helps build pathways of belonging, mentorship, and opportunity across STEM. She affirms the brilliance and uniqueness of Black innovators and the vital role their voices play in shaping the future of health and science. Committed to empowering the next generation, she strives to build lasting pathways that amplify leadership, open doors, and transform who participates in and benefits from scientific discovery.
